Ski Cooper is a smaller, less crowded and more affordable alternative to the bigger resorts in nearby Summit County. Sitting atop Tennessee Pass, it receives abundant fresh snow. It doesn’t have all the amenities of the bigger resorts but there is plenty of lodging, restaurants and shopping 10 miles away in historic Leadville. There is varied terrain for different ability levels and backcountry snowcat skiing is also available. Ski Cooper is a nice choice for those looking for a slower paced ski experience.
