Ski Town The town of Vail is right next to the ski area. It is largely free of cars and is serviced by free shuttles. It has many shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs to choose from and there are many different kinds of events held in Vail throughout the year. In addition there are other small mountain towns near Vail to explore.
