Loveland Ski Area is one of the closest ski resorts to Denver. It is located by Loveland Pass on the Continental Divide. It gets lots of snow and has one of the longest ski seasons in Colorado. It is popular with locals because of its proximity to Denver, its long season and its relatively inexpensive lift tickets. There’s lots of terrain here, with a beginners area for those just starting out. Loveland is not a full scale resort with lots of lodging and a ski town attached to it, but there is plenty of great skiing to be had and can be a quick ski getaway for locals and visitors to Denver.
